Hello! We’re Jade and Serena.

Ahem. Welcome to our humble online abode. Please, take a seat on our hypothetical designer sofa. And here, have a steaming hot mug of virtual organic coffee. Mmm.
Now let us introduce ourselves. We’re two small town girls working in the big city. We love exotic holidays. And Sunday afternoon brunches. And late night drinks. And good books. And shoe shopping. Especially shoe shopping.
But most of all, we love anything to do with homes: interior design, architecture, DIY, landscaping, customized furniture, etc.
So how did Home@8 come about?
It all started when we were exploring the ancient ruins of Pompeii we had a synchronized dream a fortune teller came up to us we found a hidden message in a bowl of cereal Jade woke up one day with a random thought:
“Malaysia’s full of interior designers, interior design enthusiasts, interior design shops… but where are all the interior design websites?”
Oh that’s right. There aren’t any. None awesome enough for our liking at least.
Home@8 is our attempt at an interior design website with heart.
We’re here to…
…Express our sometimes bitchy, sometimes nice, always honest opinions and interior design inspirations from our travels.
…Offer guidance on home renovation, interior design, landscaping and whatever else it takes to turn a house into a home (because we know how challenging it can be sometimes.)
…Document the timeless themes, the latest trends, the hottest products, and the quirkiest concepts so you can deck out your house with more original ideas and a little less Ikea (not that Ikea’s a bad thing 
).
…Showcase Malaysia’s famous (and not-so-famous) interior design and architectural wonders, from towering KL landmarks to charming vintage shop houses tucked away anonymous Penang alleyways.
