Yes Serena and I have been away, but there was not one single moment that we didn’t think of all of you who come to Home@8! How oh I’ve missed you! Pinky promise I won’t leave you for so long again
To sate your appetite for all buildings that are gorgeous, and better yet, a green spin, there’s the iHouse that we originally spotted here!
Sure, it’s not very originally named, but it sure looks pretty! My love for container homes is well covered in my previous posts, so I’ll spare you! haha.
All things considered, what really clinches this for me is the green aspect. This is a home that is absolutely self sufficient!
Firstly, the home is solar-powered up to generate enough electricity to feed itself.
Next, a wind turbine was installed. The house also collects rainwater and stores it underground so the owners have a constant supply, and there’s also a DIY planter’s box with vegetables that are watered by rainwater!
Best thing yet, like a LEGO piece (and you know we love our LEGO pieces cos we’ve highlighted the LEGO-inspired lights and LEGO kitchen already), you’re able to customise your iHouse the way you want to and it comes in pieces, all decked out, and ready for all your ID touches.
My fave part of the house, leaving aside how it’s just so self-sufficient, is the chill out area here.
Given that climate, I’d love nothing more than to wake up to that green view, sit on the deck upstairs and savour my coffee. Sigh.
Why oh why doesn’t Malaysia have this option! Grrr.
Now see the iHouse 2.0 by the original makers of the iHouse.
